There’s something truly magical about a spring wedding, and Megan’s big day at Bryngarw House was no exception. Set against a backdrop of delicate pink blossom trees and the lush Welsh countryside, this April 2022 celebration was bursting with charm, love, and unforgettable moments — and I was honoured to be a small part of it.
I arrived early that morning, just as the sunlight was filtering through the blooming gardens surrounding Bryngarw House. The venue was a picture-perfect setting for a spring wedding — elegant, tranquil, and full of character. It set the tone for what would be a beautiful and emotional day.
My morning was spent with Megan and her bridesmaid, getting them both ready for the day ahead. I styled their hair and makeup, focusing on soft, romantic tones to complement the season and the natural beauty of the surroundings. Megan looked absolutely radiant, glowing with happiness (and maybe just a little bit of my dewy-finish setting spray!).
There’s always a special energy on the morning of a wedding — a mix of nerves, excitement, and pure joy — and I love being a part of that behind-the-scenes calm before the celebration begins. We finished just as the guests were arriving, the anticipation building as the big moment drew near.
What made this day even more memorable for me personally is that I was actually pregnant with my daughter at the time — something that makes looking back on Megan’s wedding feel all the more special. After a full morning of beautifying and laughter, I packed up my kit and headed straight off to work on location for BBC’s Casualty — a true double-duty day I won’t forget!
